Condominium Construction

We were awarded the mandate to build The Eddy Condominiums, an innovative project with groundbreaking features.

In line with our sustainability goals, we incorporated sustainable development solutions and techniques into the building, including a partial green roof, a geothermal system and a rainwater harvesting system to reduce the use of drinking water.

This new 1,128 m2, six-storey complex includes 53 condo units and a retail space on the ground floor.


In addition, this project included these components:

  • Demolition of the existing building (which once served as a garage).
  • Construction of a partial green roof with a terrace and hot tub.
  • Construction of an electro-mechanical room and lockers for the residents (in the basement).

Interestingly, this condominium complex includes the second robotic parking garage ever built in Canada. Vehicles can be stacked vertically on an automated platform. The parking lot can store 40 cars, reducing space requirements and eliminating the need for vehicle entrance ramps.

Our Challenge

We overcame the challenge of limited space due to the site's location in downtown Ottawa and the traffic on the adjacent street.
