Happy Earth Day!
This year and every year going forward, we are investing in our planet. That means we are committing to finding ways as a company to be more sustainable, environmentally conscious, and innovative.
The worldwide theme of ‘’Invest in Our Planet’’ is very fitting as we get ready to launch our first ESG report in June. Our report will highlight our ESG performance in 2021, important case-studies and our ambitious plan to illustrate how we can further incorporate innovative solutions to green of our value chain, create collective prosperity, and foster sound governance.
For Earth Day, we want to share one of our commitments from our ESG report with you. As part of a plan to decarbonize our operations, starting in 2022, Pomerleau will invest 40,000$ in natural carbon sinks to promote their protection and increase the capacity of our natural environment to absorb carbon.
Investing in the conservation and development of natural systems that absorb more carbon from the atmosphere than they release, allows us to contribute to a Net Zero world. Over the coming year, Pomerleau will develop an investment plan and target to maximize our investment in carbon sinks.
