Pomerleau Capital, the investment and financing subsidiary of Pomerleau, recently welcomed Frédéric Bettez as Vice-President and Chief Investment Officer. In this role, Frédéric will oversee capital investments, asset management, project financing and business development for Pomerleau Capital. Frédéric will be responsible for defining Pomerleau Capital's vision and strategic orientations.

He will team up with Paul Mai and Robert Mayhew, newly appointed Managing Director and Senior Director of Pomerleau Capital respectively.

Together, the team will develop and invest in projects of socio-economic importance to create a lasting impact on communities and future generations.

Frédéric Bettez holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University, a CFA designation and an MBA from the University of British Columbia and has extensive relevant experience. He previously held the position of Chief Investment Officer at the Canada Infrastructure Bank. He was also President of Cosime Infrastructure & Energy and an investment banker with Macquarie and Dexia. His strategic vision, investment experience in infrastructure and renewable energy projects, and expertise in project financing make him an excellent leader for Pomerleau Capital and will ensure its growth.

Paul Mai, who joined the firm in 2019 and led the creation of the infrastructure fund launched jointly by Pomerleau Capital and CDPQ, has been appointed Managing Director of Pomerleau Capital. He will be responsible for the infrastructure and development side of Pomerleau Capital as a business unit and will work closely with Frédéric on the growth of the PCap Infrastructures and Renewables fund.

Robert Mayhew, who joined Pomerleau Capital in 2021, has built a team of professionals managing project companies and financial management functions. As Senior Director of Pomerleau Capital, Robert will work with the investment team and business partners to improve and achieve sound asset management while working closely with lenders to resolve project issues.
