Today, the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) announced Pomerleau is joining forces with its Foundation to support a groundbreaking cancer project with a $250,000 donation over five years. This is a continuation of a partnership that began close to 10 years ago, when Pomerleau built the MUHC Research Institute.
Pomerleau has had a long-standing collaboration with the MUHC that began with building its Research Institute and then evolved into a philanthropic affiliation. Like Pomerleau, the MUHC values innovation, transformation and excellence and aspires to have a positive impact on the lives of the people it serves. We are proud to continue our partnership and support the kind of life-changing research that will save and improve countless lives.
Pomerleau supports institutions and organizations that advance research and the quality of health care and offer services adapted to people coping with mental or physical illness or disease. In addition to the MUHC, this year alone, we have made donations to:
Atlantic Canada: Central Northeast Health Foundation in Newfoundland, and the IWK in Halifax
Ottawa: CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) and the Royal (Mental health – care and research)
Toronto: CAMH (the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health)
Montreal: CHUM, CHU Sainte-Justine and the Montreal Children’s Hospital
Saint-Georges: Fondation du Centre Hospitalier Beauce-Etchemin
We have also financially supported organizations such as Parkinson’s, Leucan, Canadian Cancer Society and many more, each one devoted to health research and offering support, care and services to those diagnosed with various diseases.
At Pomerleau, LOVE is essential.
