Pomerleau Named One of Canada's Top Employers for Fourth Consecutive Year
This year, Pomerleau was named one of Canada's Top 100 Employers. This is the fourth consecutive year that we have received this accolade.
This award is the result of the hard work and determination of every member of our team. Our people are at the heart of everything we do. They embody our values of love, authenticity, adaptability, innovation and excellence.
Developing a culture that fosters employee well-being and prosperity is our priority. Since communicating our intention to integrate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) as a fundamental element of all our practices and processes, our Talent, Culture and Sustainable Development team has launched several strategies to achieve our goals. These initiatives include a training strategy that involves raising awareness on DEI concepts.
While the company continues to grow, the family values on which it was originally built remain deeply rooted in Pomerleau's work and culture. Our employees shape the industry, and we remain their strongest advocates.
This year’s winners have shown a clear focus on three key pillars: creating new ways of working, anticipating employees’ needs, and focusing on future skills development. The best employers have emerged from the pandemic with stronger DNA and constantly change to improve their workplaces.
Kristina Leung,Managing Editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers
Now in its 24th year, Canada’s Top 100 Employers is an editorial competition that recognizes employers with outstanding human resource programs and forward-thinking workplace policies. Employer applications are evaluated against eight criteria, which have remained the same since the competition was first held:
Work atmosphere and social activities
Health, financial and family benefits
Vacation and time off
Training and skills development
The competition’s organizers publish a detailed explanation of why each company was chosen, ensuring transparency in the selection of the recipients, and creating a catalogue of best practices for employers and job seekers.
