TransAqua GMWC Wastewater Treatment Facility

Upgrades, Construction and Improvements

We were awarded the contract to upgrade the TransAqua GMWC wastewater treatment facility.

The project included the following work:

• Upgrading the primary treatment facility
• Building two new grit chambers and four additional primary clarifiers
• Building a new primary clarifier building
• Installing new miscellaneous equipment
• Adding electrical and mechanical facilities (including an additional electrical room)
• Making improvements to building
• Building a new sludge reception building
• Replacing bar screens and grit classifiers

We were also responsible for the following aspects of the project:

• Developing the performance criteria and the FTP study
• Preparing, implementing and following up the project management plan and project-specific quality plan
• Planning the design and construction activities
• Managing professionals from disciplines
• Budgeting and value engineering
• Controlling costs, schedules and quality
• Procurement and site supervision
• Training
• Construction, methods and logistics
• Coordinating and installing equipment
• Commissioning and warranty follow-up
• Purchasing permits and licences
