We were awarded the mandate to expand the Quebec National Assembly building to ensure that it meets current building codes and standards.
The first segment of the project consisted of underground construction at the Parliament Building, merging its technical and support spaces.
The new visitor pavilion of the National Assembly involved new underground construction in the Parliament Building’s esplanade. This construction included these components:
The last segment of the project consisted of redeveloping certain parts of the Parliament and building two new security booths.
We performed our work in an urban area which is also the heart of downtown Quebec City’s tourist zone.
During many months of work, the building remained occupied by members of the National Assembly.
We carried out our work, protecting this heritage building—built in the late 1800s—every step of the way.
