An All-New Station
The Metropolitan Transportation Agency (AMT) awarded Pomerleau the mandate to build the new Montmorency station as part of a 5.2-km extension of the existing line linking Laval to the Island of Montreal.
The new subway station is composed of five levels:
- Underneath the platforms
- Two platforms
- Mezzanine
- Upper landing
- Subway entrance level (station exit)
To complete this project, we installed 55,000 m² of formwork in very complex situations— about 80% of it was architectural (exposed concrete with motifs). The entire mandate involved 25,000 m³ of concrete and 205,000 tonnes of backfill.
