Bi-directional corridor construction

We were awarded the contract to build the Rapibus in Gatineau, a 12-kilometre bi-directional corridor located along a railway line, entirely dedicated to buses and cyclists.

The project consisted of building 10 bus stations with park-and-ride facilities and bicycle paths running parallel to the corridor, linking Gatineau to downtown Hull and downtown Ottawa. In addition, we relocated the railroad tracks a few metres.

Moreover, we were responsible for site health and safety, schedule planning and construction supervision. We also participated in the final design, making value-added contributions to the project.

To successfully complete the mandate in accordance with the STO's expectations, we collaborated with professionals, architects and engineers.

Our challenge

The need for soil rehabilitation

We followed a large-scale soil remediation program that required the reuse of the existing granular layer under specific conditions or the complete removal of contaminated soil.
