Retrofit

We were awarded the mandate to retrofit an existing loading dock for the FedEx depot in the industrial area of Saint John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.

We installed a floor depression inside the building and a concrete apron extending to the outside for the new loading system. We also installed a new overhead door.

Inside, we repurposed a castor deck system for unloading cargo containers from another FedEx facility. Specifically, we had to make major modifications to this system to get it to the site and installed properly.

We also widened the main entrance to the building to accommodate transport trucks. Since we had to replace many parts, it took us much longer than we expected to retrofit the existing equipment.
