We were mandated to build two bridges—57 m in length and 12 m in width—for the New Brunswick Highway Corporation and the New Brunswick Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
To install the beams, we used barges that are each 40 metres in length and 50 tonnes in weight. To provide adequate access for the erection of each bridge’s central piers, we also built a dike. In addition, the site’s riverbed is made of clay, making the gravel access roads difficult to lay.
Despite the challenges of this mandate, we successfully completed the project six weeks ahead of schedule.
Since the work area is ecologically sensitive, we followed the client's strict environmental management plan procedures.
We coordinated our work to keep the river open to boat navigation, as requested by the clients.
Due to archaeological excavations and extremely low water levels, we had to interrupt our work for one month. Despite this disruption, we delivered the project six weeks ahead of schedule.
