BFC Trenton - Centre de formation de la mobilité aérienne Sedley S. Blanchard

Air Mobility Training Centre

Our team was awarded the mandate to build the new 17,000 m² Sedley S. Blanchard Air Mobility Training Centre (AMTC). Located at 8 Wing/CFB Trenton. This building houses equipment and personnel for training pilots and maintenance crews using the new CC130J aircraft purchased by the Canadian Forces.

Under this mandate, we built the three-storey training facility in two phases:

  • Phase 1: Included the construction of the building that houses the flight simulators.
  • Phase 2: We built the training area for the maintenance crews. We also resurfaced the exterior envelope of the building.

In addition, the facility's concrete floors required precision workmanship. We also fulfilled the electromechanical portion of the contract in order to install highly-sophisticated equipment. All in all, the project was a huge success.

Our Challenges

Installing State-of-the-Art Equipment

We installed low-tolerance concrete floors to accommodate highly-sophisticated equipment, such as flight simulators.

Strict Electromechanical Requirements

Our team meticulously fulfilled the electromechanical portion of the contract.
