Complete Construction of the Centre

We were awarded the mandate to build the Quebec City Biomethanation Centre (CBAQ) based on a wet-waste anaerobic digestion approach.

The CBAQ can now receive annually:

  • Up to 86,000 tonnes of residential, industrial, commercial and institutional food waste from coloured bags through the current collection of waste.
  • Up to 48,000 tonnes of municipal sludge pumped from the city's wastewater treatment plants.

During construction, we were involved in the following:

  • Managing the biogas in the soil.
  • Assessing the high water table.
  • Implementing the process during the construction phase.
