End-to-End building Construction

We were selected to build Molson Coors Canada's new integrated brewery and distribution centre in Longueuil, Quebec.

In addition to erecting the new building, the project included the construction of employee parking lots. We used BIM technology for site coordination and planning.

Construction started in June 2018, and took place over a period of approximately three years, involving between 500 and 800 workers over the course of the project.

For this mandate, our team performed the following work:

  • Optimizing the required building area and heights, (in close collaboration with Molson Coors).
  • Preparing budgets for different building configurations and sizes.
  • Designing a load restoration system compatible with the supplier's particularly strict requirements.
  • Integrating the 3D modelling of the storage system inside the building.
  • Generating a model (done by our team of BIM coordinators).

Our Challenge

Low Soil Bearing Capacity

We installed controlled modulus columns, a fast and cost-effective approach, to overcome the major technical challenge of soil with low load-bearing capacity.
