Alta Gas Forrest Kerr Hydroelectric Project

Civil Work

Our team was awarded the mandate to perform civil work for a 195-MW hydroelectric project in northern British Columbia, 1,000 km northwest of Vancouver.

For the project, carried out the following work:

• Performing overall production and batching the concrete on site (approximately 35,000 m³).
• Casting in place and finishing all concrete structures.
• Handling the logistics, scheduling and integrating all steel generators.
• Installing the penstocks, draft tubes and spiral casings.

The hydroelectric project is a crucial source of energy for British Columbia as it strives to achieve energy self-sufficiency. On a national and global scale, this project is helping Canada meet its commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
