Isabel joined Pomerleau in 2020 as Vice President – Human Capital and was quickly promoted to Executive Vice President, Talent, Culture and Sustainable Development. Leading the Talent, Culture and Leadership, Communications, and Government Relations teams, she ensures that the strategic HR and communications plans are aligned with the company’s business strategy, meet organizational needs, and support its culture, values, and growth. To position Pomerleau as a forward-thinking employer of choice, Isabel facilitates the implementation of an integrated and structured approach to attracting, selecting, developing, and retaining talent across the country, leveraging best practices and tailoring them to the company’s culture. Isabel also serves as Chair of the company’s Sustainable Development Advisory Committee.
Managing complex and innovative projects in a constantly evolving environment, Isabel brings extensive experience in transformation and change management. Prior to joining Pomerleau, she was Vice President of Compensation, Corporate Services, and Strategic HR Initiatives at Resolute Forest Products (now Domtar). Over nearly 20 years at Resolute, Isabel began her career in the company’s legal department before advancing as a senior HR executive.
Isabel holds a civil law degree from the Université de Montréal (1994) and a bachelor’s degree in common law from York University in Toronto. She began her legal career at Stikeman Elliott as a commercial litigation lawyer.
