Goose Bay Long-Term Care Facility Expansion

1,125 m² expansion

We were awarded the mandate to expand the Goose Bay Long-Term Care Facility in central Labrador, in a community of approximately 7,500 people.

The extension includes a decked floor of approximately 1,125 m². This was designed to accommodate these elements:

• 21 resident rooms.
• A lounge.
• A nursing station with medical facilities.
• Cleaning rooms.
• An equipment storage area.

During the project, we were also responsible for the following work:

• Asphalt paving.
• Grading.
• Landscaping.

Sandy Soil

We had to install a sand raft to effectively work on the sandy soil of the site.
