Stacy

Regional Environmental Coordinator

Stacy Picard

Some days, you may find Stacy on a barge on the Saint-Lawrence monitoring birds during their nesting period. On others, you’ll see her filling out weekly LEED reports. Her days vary exponentially and that’s why she loves working at Pomerleau.

As an Environmental Advisor on both LEED and civil projects, Stacy has had the chance to work on large-scale projects in Montreal like the Centre de Transport Bellechasse and the Deconstruction du Pont Champlain. She is the go-to person for any environmental tasks on site, covering all aspects ranging from accidental spills, management of hazardous residual waste and site inspections.

Ask any of Stacy’s colleagues and they’ll all tell you they’re impressed that she knows many of the individuals on site because she always puts a conscious effort into learning more about them. Stacy’s job gives her the opportunity to work with people from various disciplines and build relationships with people to create a positive work environment.

No two days are the same for Stacy. Being on site keeps her on her toes. With everyday bringing a new challenge to the table, Stacy can learn from her experiences and share them with her colleagues so they can work together on continuously improving the environmental department. To her, there is no limit on what you can achieve within the company, especially knowing you will be supported through every step of your journey.

“My goal is simple, I want to keep sharing the knowledge I have with other colleagues in my department as well as the multidisciplinary construction teams- who knows, perhaps I’ll eventually share that knowledge from a management position.”
