Pomerleau Reaches a New Milestone at 715 Mikinak, Ottawa Community Housing’s Newest Affordable Housing Development

Pomerleau team

The Mikinàk project in Ottawa is weeks away from achieving an important milestone: completing the pouring of the concrete structures. This represents a significant step forward in the project, bringing it closer to completion. To celebrate, the team held its traditional construction "topping off" ceremony by hosting a BBQ lunch on site on March 2, 2023.

Thank you to the project team for their continued efforts. Construction projects are complex endeavours to undertake, and they require close collaboration between many different stakeholders. The Mikinàk project is no different. From engineers and design teams to contractors and subcontractors, everyone plays a crucial role in bringing the project to life. All of them were present onsite to celebrate the occasion. Representatives from our contractors (Aecon Group, Bellai Alliance, ABF Reinforcing Steel, Jemcor Elevating, KE Electrical, Lar-Mex, Classic Fire + Life Safety, Airon Group, Nation Drywall, RITZ Architectural Systems, DWS Roofing, Heidelberg Materials, Soudure FabMetal, National Anchors, Groupe Raymond), consultants (Paterson Group, Adjeleian Allen Rubeli, IBI Group, Goodkey, Weedmark & Associates), suppliers (Cooper Equipment and Superior Propane) and client, (Ottawa Community Housing), stopped by to celebrate.

Completing a major construction milestone such as pouring the last concrete is always an exciting moment. It is a sign of progress that represents the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in the project. More importantly, it's a reminder of what we can achieve when we work collaboratively towards a common goal. As we move forward, let's continue to work together and strive for excellence in all that we do.
