ITC Construction Group Enters Into an Agreement for the Acquisition of Farmer Construction

Pomerleau continues its national growth strategy as its subsidiary, ITC Construction Group, announces an agreement to acquire Farmer Construction Ltd., a trusted leader in British Columbia’s residential and commercial construction sectors. 

Strategic Acquisition to Accelerate Growth in Western Canada

That’s why we’re excited to share that our subsidiary, ITC Construction Group, has reached an agreement to acquire Farmer Construction Ltd., a well-established general contractor based in Victoria, British Columbia. This acquisition is a key step in our expansion across Western Canada’s residential and commercial construction markets. 

The acquisition aligns with ITC Group’s long-term growth strategy, which began accelerating in 2022 when the firm joined the Pomerleau family. By integrating Farmer’s team and expertise, ITC aims to broaden its capabilities across Vancouver Island and beyond. Farmer will continue to operate under its name, maintaining the strong brand, relationships, and reputation it has built over the past 70 years.

Expanding Presence from Vancouver to Victoria and Beyond 

This acquisition builds on ITC Group’s national growth strategy, which includes the recent opening of a Toronto office and the integration of a team in Victoria. With a presence already established in Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton, this agreement reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality, large-scale residential and commercial projects throughout Western Canada. 

The agreement has been approved by the Boards of Directors of both ITC Group and Farmer. It remains subject to approval by the Competition Bureau of Canada, and is expected to close by the end of 2025.
