A Future-Proof Bus Maintenance and Storage Facility

The Hamilton Street Railway’s bus maintenance and storage facility is being constructed at 281 Birch Avenue on a 42-acre pocket of land. The project consists of a five-storey precast parking garage with 350 spots for employees and a two-storey administrative office space that is cantilevered over the parking garage.

The facility can store 200 buses, with the capacity to add an additional 100 spaces. It also includes a maintenance garage. The project will  increase the transit division’s maintenance and storage capacity to accommodate its existing and growing fleet as the city continues to improve transit service.
