Company awarded construction management contract for first stage of Block 2 redevelopment

Following the announcement from Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Pomerleau is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a construction management contract for the first stage of the Block 2 redevelopment in Canada’s Parliamentary Precinct.

Block 2 is a city block that sits immediately south of Parliament Hill in downtown Ottawa, facing Centre Block and the Peace Tower to the north. This first stage involves a redevelopment effort from the Government of Canada to restore and modernize the Parliamentary Precinct, transforming aging buildings into an innovative complex, and providing engaging spaces for all Canadians.

The selection of a construction manager for Block 2 is a key step in bringing our collective vision to reality to ensure the Parliamentary Precinct is a space that works for and inspires not just Parliamentarians, but all Canadians for many generations to come.
Parliament Hill’s buildings and grounds are a key part of our nation’s capital, and Pomerleau is honoured to be working with PSPC and the Government of Canada to restore and modernize them.
