As Vice-President and General Counsel, Benoit oversees the company’s corporate legal affairs including governance, ethics and integrity, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory affairs, government relations, risk management and strategic challenges. He ensures business processes are focused on collaboration and partnership and implements measures to promote alternative dispute resolution methods. He is also a member of our Executive Committee.
Benoit began his legal career with Lavery de Billy LLP, before joining Blake, Cassels and Graydon LLP in 2010. He joined Pomerleau five years later. A graduate of the 2005 Faculty of Law class from Université de Montréal, he was called to the Quebec Bar in 2006. Benoit is also a member of the Canadian and American Bar Associations.
Benoit sits on the advisory board of the Institut de médiation et d'arbitrage du Québec (IMAQ), and is a member of the Board of Directors of La Messe Basse.
