There for our employees and the community
The health and safety of our employees, partners, customers and communities remains our top priority. As essential workers, we will continue to operate under the guidance of government authorities. As a responsible company, we take all the necessary precautions to limit the spread of the virus.
Committed contractor
In collaboration with several major construction contractors, we launched the Committed Contractor initiative to limit the spread of COVID-19.
As a leader of the initiative, we are committed to:
- Prioritizing the health and safety of workers, visitors and the surrounding community at the site;
- Establishing and maintaining a response plan to the COVID-19 pandemic;
- Applying a workplace inspection policy;
- Fostering communication and a respectful work environment.
Health and safety protocols
To prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we have put in place an emergency response team and robust health and safety protocols on all of our sites across the country, as well as in our offices.
These measures include, but are not limited to:
- Teleworking for those employees whose function allows it;
- Completing a questionnaire before entering the offices, warehouse and Pomerleau sites;
- Handwashing or disinfection;
- Physical distancing as well as wearing a face cover when distancing is not possible;
- Hiring support staff to regularly disinfect workspaces;
- Preventive quarantining if necessary;
- The implementation of mandatory tests in the event of an epidemic in order to identify and mitigate the spread and to secure our operations;
- Regular and transparent communications with all our employees.
