Place Bell was awarded with a distinction in Innovation in the Public Services category. This multifunctional cultural and sports complex in Laval was recognized for the integration of many cutting-edge technologies including Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to create a 3D model facilitating the design and construction of the project in an efficient and exemplary way.

The Place des Canotiers won a "special mention" from the jury in the Public Services category, which highlighted efforts to integrate the project into the landscape thanks to a unique concept linking the river and and Old Quebec.
