During the 2015 transition, we were ready for the audit. We undertook the necessary changes to our quality management system well before to ensure we were following best practices. Furthermore, we took advantage of this audit and added our Surrey and Calgary offices.
Pomerleau’s Quality Director Martine Proulx said, "Quality is the sum of all our efforts! A transition audit cannot be performed alone. Each department, each project team, everyone contributes to the success of our management system."
Strengths identified by our external auditor include:
- our risk management at every strategic level with high performance indicators,
- our good practices in estimation,
- our logistics equipment indicators and of course,
- our quality shift.
This changing approach found followers and allies with company upper management members, construction people, and with the employees of other sectors.
Our quality program is based on quality commitments on all levels, awareness raising with the use of a quality campaign, our on-site verification system, our Lean Construction approach, and our BIM-VDC tools. All these positive actions in quality will keep growing. We will continue to expand, communicate, adapt, and innovate these actions. And will find more and more synergy to live our quality vision: total client satisfaction to the last percent!
